Opening doors for those who keep our community strong.

Four people in a meeting room, two women and two men, are smiling and engaging in conversation around a laptop. One woman with glasses and short hair is sitting at the table, while a man stands leaning towards her, all smiling. The other woman and man sit on the other side of the table. The room has a window and papers pinned on the wall.

Our Goal

At New River Home Trust, we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to live where they work, raise a family, and build a future. As a community land trust, we create affordable homeownership opportunities in the New River Valley for the people who help our community thrive—teachers, healthcare workers, first responders, service staff, and more.

We offer a unique, long-term housing solution that helps families build generational wealth while keeping homes affordable for future buyers. Backed by local partners and community support, our model serves as a blueprint for inclusive, sustainable homeownership in Southwest Virginia.
